It was a quiet Monday morning in the countryside. Tom Bennett, a retired farmer who had lived on the same land for over 40 years, was sipping his coffee when something unusual caught his eye out by the tree line.
At first, he thought it was just a shadow. But as the light shifted, he realized there was a shiny black SUV parked just beyond the fence. It wasn’t rusted or beat up — in fact, it looked brand new. Spotless. No dust. No dirt. Just sitting there, like someone had carefully placed it there overnight.
Tom rubbed his eyes. Had someone broken down and left it there? Maybe a friend passing through? He walked out to take a closer look, boots crunching over the dew-covered grass. But there were no tire tracks in the field. No footprints. No sign of who had arrived or when they’d left.
The SUV was completely still. No movement inside. No open doors. And yet, it hadn’t been there the day before.
