19. Paro Taktsang (Bhutan)
Also known as the Tiger’s Nest, Paro Taktsang in Bhutan is a cliffside Tibetan Buddhist monastery. In 1998, a fire broke out in the main building of the complex, destroying many valuable paintings, artifacts and statues. Fortunately, the damaged monastery was able to be restored to its former glory. If you’re ever in Bhutan, don’t forget to visit this gorgeous monastery!
