Starting without him
In an attempt to get him to hurry up, she threatened Daniël that they would make the list without him if he didn’t want to participate. What Daniël answered next, was not what she expected at all.
She thought he would be scared to ruin the tradition and eager to make the list, but instead, he looked relieved. He said that it was fine and he wanted to make his own list this year. Emma had to promise him that she wasn’t going to look at it.
