1917
We always thought 1917 was a crazy war movie. However, it becomes even more impressive when you know that it was all shot in one take. How did they do that? The cast shot long scenes simultaneously. Those were put together in the editing, so it seems like the action never stops. And when you shoot everything in one take, there can’t help but be a handful of bloopers that didn’t make it into the film.
For example, we see a scene where actor George MacKay is running along the front lines of the battlefield while explosions go off in the background. He never intended to run through that, but there were so many things that needed to be organized for each scene that it ended up staying in the film. The actor told Vanity Fair. They just had to get rid of a few swear words before 1917 actually appeared on the big screen.
