“Finders keepers!”
On Facebook, the mayor of Chamonix declared that half of the gemstones would be displayed in the townhall. Not everyone was O.K. with this decision. The comments under the post don’t lie, many people wanted the mountaineer to keep the whole find.
“Did you all hire him to go search for the gemstones? No? Didn’t think so! You should be ashamed.” one person wrote. Another person wrote: “This is nonsense. He should get the whole thing.” Other users agreed with him. “They should pay him for these gemstones!”
