Because Eric thought about adopting Mamas so much, he came up with an idea. He consciously chose to not Mamas despite all the love he had for her. Eric wanted to make it clear to others that you can’t just bring a dog or cat into your home without taking careful consideration first.
On top of that, he wants to emphasize the importance of always adopting cats and dogs from a shelter. This can save a dog or cat’s life, because so many are left behind. And Mamas is a perfect example: even extremely sweet animals are abandoned, simply because owners no longer have the means to take care of them. He also wants to emphasize that it’s important to ask around your community or your local shelter for help instead of leaving your dog or cat behind in a park. That’s something we can all agree on!
