Unfortunately, these experts were extremely busy and researching the creature in the tree trunk also took a lot of time and effort. It took a year for the loggers to get answers to their burning questions.
This answer came in 1981, a year after the discovery. The loggers were out of their minds when they received word from the scientists. The story of the dog had finally been cleared up… And managed to evoke a lot of emotions. The sad tale of the beast’s death hurt the loggers more than they expected.
