Blessing in disguise
All things considered; Thomas was really lucky that the renters were already gone by the time he had decided to evict them. Otherwise, this would have made things a lot more complicated than you might think. In most western European and American cities, renters are so well protected that it’s difficult to get rid of them. Even in these types of situations it can be a long and tedious process to obtain an eviction letter. Thomas didn’t have that extra burden, thankfully.
