Olivia wasn’t ready to take on the responsibility of caring for her grandfather and refused to take him in. She didn’t want to give up her own life and had other things on her mind. She told them that she was busy and had other things to do, but Charles could tell that she was making up excuses.
He had been trying to keep an eye on her through social media to stay aware of at least a little bit of her life. That’s why he knew that she had been living in a dirty apartment in a bad neighborhood. He had no idea what she was doing there but he had a feeling that she was more interested in his money than in him.
