Volunteer work
The first task her grandfather had set for her was to work as a volunteer. Olivia was a bit nervous about this, as she had been selfish for so many years. She barely knew how to be kind to others without expecting something back anymore. She spent a few days finding courage, but she was determined to succeed.
Olivia spent her first day at the charity center feeling overwhelmed and out of her element. She wasn’t used to helping others without expecting anything in return, and it was a difficult adjustment for her. But as the days went by, she began to see the value in what she was doing. She saw the joy on the faces of the people she was helping, and Olivia began to understand the true meaning of selflessness.
