The first time Hana met Haru, it was after a terrible morning at school. He was picking up Lucy and Billy, the most adorable twins Hana had ever taught. Until that fateful day, they were always cheerful, their laughter echoing down the hall.
Hana could remember the details as if it had happened yesterday: she was standing at the front of the classroom, ready to deliver a new lesson, when the school principal knocked on the door. The principal asked to speak to Hana in private, and Hana readily agreed.
