Prince Harry and his stepsister Laura Lopes
Laura Lopes will probably not be a very familiar name to many. Her mother and stepbrothers have more familiar faces than herself. Yet Laura, daughter of Queen Camilla, has quite a glamorous life.
Laura was born in 1978 as the youngest child of Camilla and Andrew Parker Bowls. She has an older brother Tom, who, in addition to being a stepchild of King Charles, is also his godson. However, Laura only came into the picture with the wider public when her mother Camilla married King Charles (then crown prince) in 2005.
A year later, the Queen’s daughter herself married her great love, Harry Lopes. Harry was a former Calvin-Klein model and is now an accountant. Although we don’t exactly see that career switch as a promotion when we talk about a glamorous life, it will certainly pay well. Harry Lopes is also the grandson of a baron so he will eventually inherit two estates. Sounds good to us!
Laura has been working in the art world for a long time and can occasionally be seen at a royal engagement. Still, we wonder how the bond is between her and her stepbrothers because there are different stories about it. For example, she would now get along well with the two brothers, but she used to have a lot of trouble with her stepbrother William, according to royalty connoisseur Katie Nicholl.
“William and Laura had huge fights over who was to blame for their broken homes. William blamed Camilla for everything she did to his mother, enraging Laura. Laura didn’t want to know about that. She took a hard line and fired back at William that “his father had wrecked her life,” writes Nicholl in the book Harry and William. “She didn’t care that it was the Prince of Wales, she blamed him for her parent’s divorce and wasn’t afraid to make it clear to William.” So nothing new, those family quarrels?
