Grace Kelly and granddaughter Jazmin Grace Grimaldi
American actress Grace Kelly was born on November 12, 1929. The actress had an Irish father and a German mother. Her big dream has always been to become an actress, but her family was certainly not happy about that. Still, Grace played her first role when she was 22 years old. After her debut in the film industry, she appeared in several films, including three by Alfred Hitchcock. In 1954 she even received an Oscar for best actress in the film The Country Girl. Yet Grace Kelly stopped with her great passion, acting. She was about to marry Prince Rainier III of Monaco. Very different from the showbiz world, as she had a brief, secret affair with actor Bing Crosby before her marriage. Grace married her Prince Charming in 1956, and together they had three children: Caroline Louise Marguerite, Albert Alexandre Louis Pierre, and Stéphanie Marie Elisabeth.
Unfortunately, at the age of 52, the princess died of a stroke behind the wheel. The stroke caused her to end up in a ravine with her car. The next day, Princess Grace died in a hospital in Monaco. Still, there were several rumors about who was behind the wheel. For example, it was said that the 17-year-old daughter, Princess Stéphanie, was behind the wheel, without a driver’s license. She suffered only minor injuries in the crash. Due to the fatal accident, the princess never got to meet her grandchildren. Yet the famous grandchildren are constantly compared to their grandmother, especially her six granddaughters.
Jazmin (1992) looks exactly like her world-famous grandmother, after whom she is also named. She dreamed of an acting career and being a princess, but unfortunately for Jazmin, as the illegitimate daughter of Prince Albert, she did not get a prominent place in the principality. She grew up in America, where she also wants to get her acting career off the ground. Nevertheless, the granddaughter occasionally visits her father in Monaco. In addition, as a ‘real royal’, she also has her foundation: The Jazmin Fund. With this, she helps children in Fiji in the field of education, health, and development. Just one more prince and the circle is complete!
