Zoe, her face pale from what happened, chose to stay away from Rex. The dog she’d agreed to care for was now something she was scared of. Every time Rex looked at her, Zoe felt uneasy and wondered what made him change so abruptly and become this terrifying creature. The only problem was that Rex refused to leave her side.
Instead, Rex became very affectionate. He followed Zoe everywhere, always staying close to her. Rex always wanted to be with Zoe and would even rest his head on her stomach when he sat next to her on the couch. Zoe couldn’t understand why Rex was suddenly so attached to her.
