7. The smallest plane in the world

After showing you the largest plane in the world, of course we also need to show you the smallest. It’s our personal favorite in this list. This is the Starr Bumble Bee II. It’s named after the bumblebee, whose wings look like they’re too small to carry its weight. The same can be said for this aircraft, with its wingspan only measuring 2 meters. It was built in 1988 by engineer Robert Starr, who set out to break the previous record. The plane is highly unstable and crashed in 1988, severely injuring Robert Starr, who has fortunately made a full recovery.
