4. US Military UFO
This VTOL (Vertical TakeOff and Landing) aircraft was developed as part of a highly confidential, secret U.S. military project in the early years of the Cold War. It was called the Avrocar and resembles what most people think a UFO looks like. It was meant to function as a fighter-like aircraft, replacing large, bulky helicopters. Unfortunately, production was cancelled in 1961.
