The real applicant
Johan looked at his secretary with confusion. “But, but, but you said…”, he stammered. The secretary was not aware of any harm. “I said your appointment was earlier, Mr. Hautzig. I never said this was the applicant. He is quietly waiting in the lobby.”
In fact, now that he remembered it, she’d never said the applicant had been early. He was now waiting in the lobby. John had to put aside his confusion and shock for a moment. It was time to look professional again because this job applicant could be his final chance at rescuing his company.
