Meghan Markle
On May 19, 2018, Meghan Markle said yes to Prince Harry. Since then they have been husband and wive, but they are also distant relatives. Meghan is in fact a relative of Edward III. Edward was the King of England from 1327 to 1377. This would make Harry and Meghan cousins of each other, albeit in the fifteenth degree.
Hilary Duff
Hilary Duff also has English roots. The Lizzie McGuire actress is – just like Meghan Markle – a distant relative of Edward III. This allows her to call herself a niece of Queen Elizabeth in the eighteenth degree.
Ellen DeGeneres
Talk show host Ellen was curious about her family history and therefore hired a company in Boston to chart that history. Ellen found out that she is – like Kate Middleton – a relative of Sir Thomas Fairfax and his wife, Agnes Gascoigne. The pair lived in the early 1500s in England. Ellen and Kate are cousins of each other in the fifteenth degree.
Beyoncé
Thanks to many musical achievements, Beyoncé has been given the nickname Queen B. Beyoncé is seen as a real royalty in the music industry, but in real life she’s also almost a real queen. The singer is descended from Henry II. That means the entertainer is a cousin of Queen Elizabeth in the 25th degree.
