A sign
“This must be a sign”, Ruth is thinking while she looks down at Happy. Happy looks at her with his soft puppy eyes and pulls her back by the leash. Ruth still can’t believe he wanted to do that so she tries to walk away from him again. But then again, Happy pulls her back.
Now it is clear to Ruth, “Happy wants to tell me not to give up and to keep going”, Ruth thinks and she steps back into the line. But this time she decides that she will not leave the line and her dog Happy at any cost.
