One of Brooks’ fellow passengers, Tracy Dover, was so invested in the soldier’s story that she wanted to document the special moment. After their trip, she posted the video on Facebook and got thousands of likes within hours. “This soldier was on my delayed flight back home yesterday,” the woman wrote in the caption of the video. “He had to watch his daughter’s birth on FaceTime. He cried and we were heartbroken. We gave him space. When we heard the baby cry, we were all ecstatic for him. I wanted to share this so we never forget about the soldiers that serve us every day and the sacrifices they make for us.”
