Sindy wasn’t too happy when her mom told her she had to start getting extra help with biology after school. She’d heard Ms. Thompson, the tutor, was strict, and she wasn’t looking forward to spending extra time in school. The first day was just as bad as Sindy imagined. “I’m never going to get this,” she’d say to herself.
But then something started to change. As the days went by, Ms. Thompson’s words began to make sense to Sindy. Concepts that used to be confusing started to click. She was actually answering questions correctly! And something else was happening too, although Sindy didn’t notice it yet.
