Julie faltered but quickly recovered. “Oh no, it’s not like that at all! We wanted to keep things more formal for the ceremony. You know how weddings get with kids running around. We had to make some tough choices.”
Samantha’s patience was wearing thin. “So, my kids—who are well-behaved—weren’t allowed, but everyone else’s kids are fine?”
