Samantha froze. “Wait, what? I thought this was a child-free wedding?” she asked, confusion creeping into her voice.
“Oh, well, it’s just for the ceremony,” Julie said breezily. “We thought it would be best if someone took charge of the little ones while we’re all in the front. No big deal, right?”
