The happy couple were planning their wedding when the Wilson’s never-ending bad luck struck again. Dorothy’s disabled brother Peter had set the family home on fire. Jack sprinted into the home to save him, but they were both killed in the fire that left nothing but a mound of ash behind.
Dorothy and her mother had no other option but to live in an old hut. They were only able to afford it by selling Jack’s sheep. Then Dorothy found out she was pregnant. Her mother had developed dementia which made her act out and become aggressive.
