The Method
Starting this cleaning method is as easy as spreading a thin layer of ketchup on the rusty spot. It’s almost like you’re getting ready to cook rather than clean a tough stain. The trick is to let the ketchup sit for about five minutes. This gives the acid in the ketchup enough time to attack the rust.
After waiting, you just wipe off the ketchup with a piece of crumpled tin foil. The foil does two jobs at once: it takes off the ketchup and scrubs away any remaining rust.
