This trick will make sure your clothes are dry much more quickly!

Doing laundry isn’t anyone’s favourite thing to do, we expect. Luckily, most of us have the luxury of having a washing machine to our disposal, and if you’re lucky you also own a tumble dryer. Back in the day, doing laundry was much more of a chore than it is now! Did you know people would spend at least 10 hours a day on doing the household?

Quick and easy

These days it doesn’t cost as much time as it did back then, but it still takes up enough of our time, especially if you also have a job or need to take care of your children (or both!). We like things to be quick and easy, so having to wait for our tumble dryer to finally be done and for our clothes to be dry can really annoy us at times. Luckily, we’ve got a trick that will speed up the process!

Tennis balls

All you need for this trick to work is a couple of clean (!), old tennis balls. You shouldn’t use new ones if you can help it, because they might give off their colour onto your clean clothes. Put the clean, wet laundry in the dryer and add the tennis balls. Because the balls will bounce around inside the drum of the dryer, the wet items of clothing won’t get tangled up as easily. That means the clothes will wrinkle a lot less. Most of all, though, it causes the air to circulate more easily, which means your laundry will be dry much more quickly!
