Arranging everything in your kitchen isn’t as easy as it sounds; everything has to be in the most practical place. But you should also keep in mind that you want your kitchen items to last as long as possible. Putting away things after using them is something that’s a problem for a lot of people. There are four kitchen items that nearly everyone puts away wrong! Luckily, you’ll do it right from now on after reading this.
This way, your stuff will stay nice and functional for much longer!
Pots and pans
A lot of people stack their pots and pans on top of each other in their kitchen cupboards. Of course, this is the most efficient way to store them, especially if you don’t have that much storage space in your kitchen. But many people also forget that by putting a pot on top of another, you damage the layer of nickel inside the lower pot. A damaged layer inside the pot or pan will cause food to burn more quickly and it will also have as a result that the pot won’t be heated evenly anymore. The solution? Place a tea towel between the different pots or use pan protectors. That way, your pots and pans will last much longer.
Dishwasher
Do you load your dishwasher in the most efficient way possible? We used to do that as well, but it turns out that you can needlessly damage your kitchenware this way. Plus, the dishes will also come out less clean. So, what’s the right way to do it? First of all, you should put plastic items on the top rack, because that part of the dishwasher gets less hot. Research shows that it’s best to put plates and other dishes with egg white residue on the bottom rack. They will come out cleaner this way.
