What’s in a sleep spray?
A sleep spray consists mainly of essential oils derived from plants. You can make your own mix of oils or purchase a ready-made spray at the store. A spray with lavender oil, for example, can help relax and calm you down more easily, sage can help clear your mind and neroli is known to be a natural calming solution. By spraying this on your pillow, you’ll be able to get a more peaceful sleep and better night’s rest.
Make it yourself
You can find numerous types of sleep sprays at the store, but it’s easy to make them yourself at home. All you need is a small bottle with a spray cap, a small funnel, 30 to 90 milliliters of vodka (this helps make the spray dry faster), distilled water, and whatever essential oils you want to add. First pour the vodka into the bottle, then add ten drops of one oil, after that ten drops of another, and then ten drops of a third oil. To finish, fill the rest of the bottle with your distilled water. Put the cap on the bottle and shake well. Spray a bit on your pillows or blanket and you’re good to go!
