Inside the Cave
The inside of Jake’s cave is basic but serves his needs. A mattress, found in a discarded pile of furniture, serves as his sleeping location. Some old blankets serve as extra bedding.
An oil lamp is the only source of light and heat in the cave. It helps keep the space warm enough at night and adds a sense of comfort in the darkness. While Jake has made the cave feel like home, he’s unsure if it’s a place he’ll stay long-term, especially with winter looming.
Jake’s story is one of resilience. The cave has been a refuge during difficult times, but its future as a home is uncertain. For now, it’s a testament to how far determination can go in the face of hardship.
