3. Colorado West Creek Ranch, United States – $279 million
Back to the United States, because that’s where we find this luxurious ranch amidst the mountain tops of Colorado. With no fewer than eight bathrooms, a home gym, helipad, six fireplaces, four fountains and a theater, this is perhaps one of the largest houses in the top five. There is a reasonable price tag on this property: $279 million. But then of course you do have your own helipad and theater at home. We find this unique-looking “bubble palace” near Cannes in France. The house was designed by the Hungarian architect, Antti Lovag, and was built between 1975 and 1989. The designer is said to have been inspired by the body of women. The house has a peculiar layout, with no less than 500 different seats and it has an open-air theater with sea views. All that for $390 million dollars – who wouldn’t want it? There is a chance that you can negotiate the price, because this French palace has been on the market for almost four years.

And now it is time for the most expensive house in the world: the villa called “The One” that we find in Bel Air, California. This fun retreat is for sale for $500 million. The property currently belongs to property developer and film producer Nile Niami. What exactly do you get for that $500 million? Among other things, five swimming pools, a casino, nightclub with a VIP area, bowling alley and a real lounge with a tank full of jellyfish.
