Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia. But turmeric can help prevent it. Turmeric is also good for the brain and especially for the memory. Regular consumption of turmeric also reduces the risk of Parkinson’s disease.
Alzheimer’s disease occurs because certain proteins (particularly tau proteins) build up in the brain and cause brain cells to die. Studies in rats have shown that turmeric can prevent this behavior of tau proteins, which has a positive effect on brain health.
