What an achievement by these twin brothers!
Twin brothers Cory and Dillon Sasvari were already overweight as children but after high school, they gained tens of kilos. According to them, this was because they both stopped playing football. In only a few years, they went from weighing 90 kg to 180 kg. The brothers were sick and tired of being overweight and decided to do something about it.
What these twin brothers achieved is quite something.
Grandmother
“Looking at myself in the mirror, I knew I needed to do something about it,” Cory explained to Today. “I didn’t have diabetes, but I was close to it,” Dillon added. Thanks to their grandmother, they managed to flip the switch, as it were. “She said ‘Listen, you and your brother are the biggest I have ever seen you’.” Because of what their grandmother said to them, the twin brothers found the motivation to lose weight. “My family, they were concerned about my health. I was always fatigued. I was depressed,” Cory said.
Dietician
Both brothers wanted a gastric bypass. This is a procedure in which the size of the stomach is reduced and the digestive system is rearranged. Before the surgery, however, the brothers first needed to lose ten per cent of their body weight. Thanks to the help they got from their dietician, they managed to achieve this. The first thing the brothers had to do was stop drinking soda and start drinking two to three litres of water a day. They also traded in pizza and french fries for vegetables, fruit and unprocessed foods.
