5. Tea
Of course you already knew this, but we cannot say it often enough: drinking enough is very important to combat a sore throat. Many soothing and anti-inflammatory ingredients can be mixed with tea. For example, choose ginger, cinnamon, mint, chamomile, sage, licorice and rosemary.
6. Oatmeal
A bowl of warm oatmeal is easy to swallow and is packed with antioxidants, zinc and magnesium. In addition, you have the possibility to add all sorts of healthy things to the oatmeal. For example, opt for a mashed banana for some extra vitamin C. You top off your bowl of oatmeal with honey, cinnamon and a little ginger. Super healthy!
7. Spices
Turmeric, ginger and cinnamon do wonders for your throat. As we mentioned above, these herbs have an anti-inflammatory and calming effect. So, trade that trade! Throw these three toppers through your oatmeal, tea, smoothie or ice cream. It’ll surely help?
8. Honey
Honey is known for its soothing effect, but that is not everything. This soothing remedy also contains anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Fortunately, honey also has a fine taste, so you can easily stir it into your tea or smoothie. Or take a bite from a spoon. It will work wonders!
