You won’t believe your eyes when you see what comes out of these hand dryers…
When you’ve done your business in a public bathroom you’ll probably reach for the hand dryer when you want to dry your freshly washed hands. Because the roll of paper you can use instead is super unhygienic, right?
Next time, we’re not going to go for the hand dryer either…

Hand dryers aren’t nearly as clean as you might think. In the past, multiple studies have shows that these dryers aren’t as hygienic as they are made out to be, but this Facebook post makes it painfully clear. The post was made by a researcher who wanted to bring attention to hygiene (or lack thereof) in public spaces as well as at home.

Nichole Ward posted a photo of a petri dish filled with fungi and bacteria that came out of a hand dryer. Nichole placed the empty petri dish within a closed hand dryer in a public bathroom for three minutes and this is what she ended up with. She accompanies the photo with the following text: “This is the several strains of possible pathogenic fungi and bacteria that you’re swirling around your hands, and you think you’re walking out with clean hands.” Yikes, that’s absolutely disgusting! We’ll think twice before using the hand dryer from now on…
