The secret
The secret for crispy roasted potatoes is an action a lot of people skip when they’re preparing them. It takes place before the potatoes even go into the oven! During the previous step, you’ve drained the water from the pot but left the potato wedges in there. Now for the trick! Place the lid on the pot and shake the pot vigorously a few times. By shaking the potatoes like this you’ll make sure they bruise a little on the outside, which eventually creates that nice, crispy jacket!
Oven-roasted potatoes
It’s time for the last step. Preheat your oven to 190 °C. Line a baking tray with baking paper and sprinkle some olive oil over it. Divide the potatoes over the baking tray and make sure they’re all covered in oil by moving them around on the tray. Put the baking tray into the oven for around 30 minutes, all the while keeping an eye on the potatoes to make sure they don’t become a little too brown. And that’s it! You’ve got yourself the most delicious, crispy oven-roasted potatoes ever!
