2. Sort
This tip is actually part of the loading of the dishwasher, but it comes in handy for the unloading as well: sort all of the items when you’re loading the dishwasher. Place the forks with the forks, the spoons with the spoons and the knives with the knives. That way, you can simply put away the cutlery in one movement. Grab the spoons and put them in a drawer. The same goes for the plates. Sort the plates by size, so you can put them away in the same order.
3. Use a mesh bag
This trick will save you a lot of time and frustration: use a small mesh bag for the lighter and smaller items. Yes, one of those mesh bags you normally use for bras in the washing machine! Put small lids, plastic cutlery and children’s plates in there. That way, these lightweight items won’t fly through the entire dishwasher because of the water jets and you won’t have to fish small parts from the depths of your machine.
