5. White vinegar against limescale
White vinegar is a true powerhouse against limescale. That’s why it’s great to use it when you’re trying to remove the limescale from your shower faucet. Drench a cloth in white vinegar and drape this over the faucet. Leave this to soak for 15 minutes and then rub it clean with a clean cloth. To descale the showerhead you can do the following: fill a plastic baggie with vinegar and tie this around the showerhead so it’s covered in vinegar. Leave this overnight and take it off in the morning. Let the shower run for a minute or two before stepping under it again, though! Also add a cup of vinegar to the washing machine when you’re washing the shower curtain.
6. Steel sponge
You can easily use a steel sponge to clean the glass doors of your shower. It won’t leave behind any scratches, but it will remove limescale and soap residue. To avoid residue, squeegee the glass doors so there are no water droplets left behind before you hop out of the shower.
7. Toilet brush
When you put back your toilet brush in its holder when it’s still wet, things can get gross pretty quickly. Luckily, there’s the following tip: put the toilet brush between the bowl and the seat after using it, so it can dry.
8. Stinky clothes
Got a sports fanatic in your household? Then you’ll probably know all about stinky sports gear. Put the stuff that can’t go into the laundry, like shoes, helmets and other gear in a sealed off bag in the freezer. The cold will kill the bacteria and the equipment will stink a lot less.
