With these tips, you won’t be as overwhelmed by the things you have to do!
Do you always struggle to find the time to clean and tidy up? Do you always start with something only to find yourself distracted by something else minutes later? If you have a hard time finding order in the chaos of your chores, you have come to the right place. Find out what the best order for chores is.
1. Be lazy when needed
If your house could clean itself, you would let it, right? Well, some appliances in your kitchen can clean themselves. And that is why you should always start with those appliances. Or run the dishwasher while you’re doing other chores. Put a pile of laundry in the washing machine; these things can do their job while you work on other tasks. This way, cleaning won’t take as much time and everything and everyone in the house is doing it’s part! Some cleaning products can also do the hard work while you pick up a lighter, easier task. For example: spray your microwave or shower with the proper cleaning product ahead of time so you can come back to it later. That way, the stains will be way easier to clean and you have done plenty of tasks while your appliances and products do the hard work for you!
2. Tidy up
This might seem like a no-brainer but sometimes we think that we can just quickly wipe down or dust off some surfaces without putting things away first (has anyone ever tried to vacuum around things?). But the fact of the matter is that it is much easier to clean when you first tidy up. That way, cleaning will also be way more effective than when you only dust around all the stacks of loose paper.
3. Focus on one thing
It is so easy to just pick things up and put them in the rooms where they go. But that way, you’ll be cleaning six different rooms at the same time. If you focus on one room and work your way through the house, your house will be more tidy and clean in the end. Believe us: you will notice the difference! It is also important to clean the house from ceiling to floor instead of the other way around. You don’t want dust from closets and tall furniture to fall onto your floor after you’ve just cleaned everything!
With these tips, you will feel less overwhelmed by the number of things you have to do in and around your home. And cleaning might even become fun (who knew?)!
