Baking soda
You don’t even have to scrub! All you need is a large container filled with hot water and a large dash of baking soda. Baking soda is a powder composed of sodium ions and bicarbonate ions, and is also called sodium bicarbonate. It’s a salt that in nature is often found in rocks. Baking soda can be used in cooking, but it has many other uses as well. It’s a true wonder product when it comes to cleaning!
Grease
Leave the filter to soak in the hot water with baking soda for at least half an hour. In the meantime, you can vacuum the rest of the exhaust hood. After half an hour, you take the filter out of the water and voila! The grease will have detached from it completely. Use a damp cloth to wipe off all the filth and that’s it. The filter will look as good as new!
