5. Drawers
This is the right time to clean out a junk drawer. Pick a drawer, throw out anything you no longer need and give important things their proper space. Put a cutlery tray inside the drawer and organise all of the little things that need to stay.
6. Tile grout
Take 15 minutes to freshen up the tiles in your bathroom and clean the grout between them. Prepare a mixture of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and dish soap and spray this onto the tiles. Let it sit and soak for a couple of minutes and then scrub the tiles with a stiff brush. Rinse with water afterwards.
7. Hidden dust and dirt
Get out your vacuum cleaner or (extendable) duster and focus on the nooks and crannies of your ceiling and other places that don’t get cleaned regularly. Tackle spider’s webs and dusty lamp shades, bookshelves and other spots that are high up.
8. Kitchen cabinets
It’s an annoying chore, but it needs to happen every once in a while: cleaning your kitchen cabinets. Steam and condensation cause dust and grease to end up on top of your cabinets, which can cause a sticky mess. Use a de-greasing all-purpose cleaner to scrub it clean. Also clean the handles of the drawers and cabinets.
