Do you clean your toilet with chlorine bleach? Please don’t!
Cleaning the toilet is a dirty job, but someone’s got to do it. Normally the most effective cleaning solution would be chlorine bleach. Well, at least that’s what most people assume.
According to the Health Council, it’s better to avoid these types of products, because they can make bacteria turn immune to the cleaning solution, and even to antibiotics! Disinfectant detergents, such as chlorine, are meant to kill as many bacteria as possible. However, that also means that all the useful bacteria are killed, the bacteria your body actually needs. The Health Council warns that in case of excessive application you could even develop an allergy to the product.
