Cleaning is the easiest thing in the world with these handy cleaning tricks

We can’t make cleaning any more fun, but we can make it a lot easier! That’s why we’ve put together a list of a couple of handy cleaning tricks that will make cleaning much easier and quicker for you.

1. A drop of olive oil

Are those greasy fingerprints on your stainless steel appliances driving you crazy? Olive oil provides the perfect solution. Apply a few drops of olive oil (baby oil will work too) to a paper towel and use this to rub the stainless steel with. The fingerprints will disappear completely.

2. White chalk

Always keep some pieces of white chalk close to your laundry detergent. If you’ve got grease or oil stains in your clothes, chalk will help you get them out. Rub some chalk on the stains and the chalk will absorb all of the grease. Wash the item of clothing like you normally would. Sprinkling a little cornstarch on the stain will have the same effect.

3. Cornstarch

Now we’re talking about cornstarch anyway, this thickening agent is also a great product to clean windows with. Make a mixture of 240 millilitres water, 240 millilitres white vinegar and add a generous teaspoon of cornstarch to this. Let this dissolve and you’ve got yourself a great cleaning agent to clean your windows with and make sure they’re completely streak-free.
