The English rockstar was born in London on January 8, 1947. Bowie began playing the saxophone at age 13 and found his passion in rock and pop music. Bowie is known for his special muscal transformations, including his character Ziggy Stardust. He co-wrote “Fame” with John Lennon, which became his first No. 1 single.
David Bowie was married to Somali model Man Abdulmajid. The two met in 1990, when David was at the peak of his career as a world famous singer. According to David’s longtime friend Teddy Antolin, David had been very lonely during this period in his life. From the first moment they met, the two were inseparable. The two stayed together until his death in 2016.
