It took a while for People to finally realize that Patrick deserves the title “Sexiest Man Alive” without question, but after a long acting career, the actor has finally nabbed the award. And he may now be 57, but he still lives up to his nickname McDreamy. In fact, Patrick seems to be getting not only wiser, but also more handsome with age.

Secretly, then, we understand why Patrick has only now been given his new title. The best man is approaching sixty but more handsome than ever, and we would not be surprised if he is still winning hearts later in the retirement home.
Incidentally, his three kids can have a tasty laugh at their father’s new status. “As always, they make fun of me, tease me and name all kinds of reasons why I’m not The Sexiest Man,” Patrick revealed. “I thought it was a joke myself at first. I’ve always been the bridesmaid in this pageant.”
