Susan Sarandon: Ping pong
Whether you can still call this a hobby is debatable but Susan Sarandon has definitely turned her hobby into a profitable business. The hobby she is making money with? The unexpected game of table tennis. The actress/activist is such a big fan of the sport, she decided to make her hobby into a more permanent thing. Sarandon opened a bar in 2009 in New York City called SPiN where people can get together and play ping pong. She even loved the sport so much, she starred in a movie about it called Ping Pong Summer.
Now, the Thelma & Louise-actress opened up branches of the club everywhere in the United States. That way she can share her hobby with the rest of the world and even make a decent living off of it.
Hanging out in a bar to play some ping pong is innocent enough. But the next celebrity proves that hobbies can also be kind of creepy.
